Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the IDF on Tuesday to completely destroy what he called the "infrastructure" of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, visiting troops deployed in the area during the visit. Netanyahu told soldiers to target every above-ground and underground structure the group's military wing uses to launch attacks on northern Israel, with special emphasis on the tunnel network running beneath the region. His exact words, published by his office on X, were blunt: "This is the order, leave nothing standing behind, and you are doing it." He also told soldiers to act immediately when they spot a threat and not to wait. Netanyahu ruled out any withdrawal from the territory Israel has seized until Hezbollah is "fully disarmed" and the threat is, in his words, "eliminated."
