Greek police arrested a 42-year-old Turkish national in Thessaloniki today after discovering she was the subject of an Interpol Red Notice issued by Turkey.
The arrest was carried out by officers from the Organized Crime Unit of Northern Greece, specifically the department handling crimes against life and property. Authorities confirmed the Red Notice was linked to charges of drug production and trafficking.
The woman was taken into custody at an undisclosed location in Thessaloniki and transferred to the competent prosecutor's office. No additional suspects were named in connection with the case.
According to Skai, Greek law enforcement coordinated with Interpol to execute the arrest, which falls under Greece's obligations as a member of the international policing network.
